Claiming is free and takes a few minutes. It gets you the score breakdown, the public problem inbox with response timers, review tools and eligibility to bid on BetterBid inventory.

What claiming does not give you

  • · It does not remove or hide negative reviews.

  • · It does not let you close a problem without the affected user confirming it.

How the claim flow works

  1. Find your product

    Search the index. If it is not there yet, submit it first — claiming an existing page is faster than creating one.

  2. Choose a verification method

    A DNS TXT record on the product domain, or an email at that domain. Free mail domains are not accepted.

  3. Verify

    DNS usually confirms within an hour. Email verification is immediate.

  4. Complete the profile

    Logo, pitch, pricing, screenshots, integrations and the jobs you want to be judged on.

  5. See your rank and action plan

    Your BetterScore breakdown, every open problem, and a prioritised list of what would actually move your position.

  6. Invite your users

    Send a review campaign asking for honest feedback — campaigns that only solicit positive reviews are rejected.
